Volunteerism

Cox encourages employee volunteerism in the communities where we serve. Cox is full of generous employees who give their time and talents to support our local communities. We are proud to connect our diverse group of employees with volunteer opportunities in San Diego, Orange County, Palos Verdes and Santa Barbara. The Cox employee volunteer program encourages and inspires our team of dedicated employees to volunteer through various initiatives, and the employee with the most volunteer hours at the end of the year is recognized as the Cox Volunteer of the Year.

Cox Communications and Cox Cares provide several opportunities for its employees and their friends and families to give back to the local communities and serving a wide range of needs. Volunteer projects foster teamwork while simultaneously contributing to the improvement of our local landscape.

Additionally, Cox employees are contributing their talents and resources through board and committee involvement at various non-profit organizations. Through board governance and committee involvement with local 501(c)3 organizations, Cox employees provide fundamental skills to variety of charitable organizations including technology communications, development, strategic planning, marketing and communications, fundraising and financial planning.
