Foundation

In 1999, Cox Communications established the Cox Cares Foundation (formerly the Cox Kids Foundation). Cox Cares is Cox’s philanthropic arm funded entirely by Cox employee payroll donations that are matched by the company. To date, the foundation has contributed more than $4.5 million back into the community through grants for schools and non-profit organizations, scholarships for students, and support for programs that improve the quality of life for Southern California families.

Programs

The Cox Cares has three funding programs:

1. Cox Cares Scholars to award scholarships to high school seniors. More Information.

2. Non-Profit Grants to support the work being done by 501(c)3 organizations in the areas of education and technology for youth and military. More Information.

3. Member-Recommended Grants, which allow our employees who donate to the foundation to recommend a non-profit organization of their choice for a grant. More Information. You will first be prompted to login to Member Access section.

For questions, please email coxcares@cox.com.

The foundation’s giving areas are managed by a diverse group of approximately 40 Cox employees who volunteer their time to serve on the advisory board and committees that review funding requests.
